If you create a task that requires entry of a user ID and password to gain access to the catalog or database, and you click the Security tab of the Edit Task dialog box, you may observe that the password field of the resulting prompt does not display any characters.
Normally, you would expect to see a series of asterisks, indicating that the password has already been supplied. You can disregard this field: you do not need to re-enter the password unless you wish to change it.
In the Cognos Scheduler User Guide, under the topic "Set the Maximum Delay Before Starting a Task", a note states that valid settings for the maximum delay are 0 to 12 hours. However, "0" is not a valid setting.
"Valid settings for the maximum delay are 1 to 12 hours."
